Our first co-release of the teinturier varieties grown in our Panhandle Vineyard, our Tinteiro is a blend of Alicante Bouschet and Souzão, two grapes notable in part for the red pulp of their berries. Both deeply emblematic of Portuguese viticulture in their own way, the combination of the two here creates a rich wine with distinctive florality and a juicy, well-structured midpalate that is as fundamentally Portuguese as anything we’ve bottled to date. Hints of rose petal and violet on the nose, with dark notes of black cherry and black plum, accompanied by traces of cocoa and sweet tobacco on the finish.
